Serving London For Nearly 50 Years.
The UK’s longest-running kosher restaurant, refreshed for a new chapter while keeping the heart of a West End institution.
A restaurant refurbishment for one of London’s most established hospitality brands.
A London institution with a loyal following.
Reubens has served London for over 49 years, becoming the longest-running kosher restaurant in the UK and the only kosher restaurant in the West End. The updated space needed to retain the heart of the brand while giving customers a refreshed place to return to.
The brief was never to erase the past.
Reubens is known for classic favourites, loyal customers and proper comfort food. The fit out needed to modernise the space without stripping away the familiarity people already loved.
Some restaurants build a reputation. Others spend decades earning one.
Updated, but still unmistakably Reubens.
The new environment keeps the spirit of the restaurant intact while improving the experience for today’s guests. It needed to feel refreshed, not reinvented into something nobody asked for.
Built for returning customers, first visits and everything between.
A restaurant with this much history has to work for different customers at once. Regulars need it to feel familiar. New guests need it to feel current. That balance shaped the whole fit out.
The best hospitality spaces feel familiar the moment you walk in.
Comfort, clarity and a setting built around the food.
From piled-high salt beef sandwiches to chicken soup with the trimmings, the food remains the centre of the Reubens experience. The interior had to support that without trying to steal the sandwich’s thunder.
A refreshed restaurant space with nearly five decades of character still intact.
The finished Reubens interior respects the history of the brand while giving it a cleaner, sharper and more comfortable environment for the future. It feels established, familiar and ready for the next generation.
